Classic Polaroid Reinvented

When I discovered Shake-It Photo an app for the iPhone, I didn’t exactly know what I was getting but I purchased it anyway. I was looking for a new toy after becoming somewhat bored with Juxtaposer.

I quickley fell in love with Shake-It Photo and its Polaroid like product. It’s simple and fun to use. Snap a new photo or use one from your photo library and Shake-It Photo does the rest. Complete with sound effects, the app spits put an undeveloped Polaroid. This is where the fun begins. Shake you device and watch it develop right before your eyes. Amazing.

The finished product comes compete with a classic Polaroid border! The phote is run through the Polaroid filter giving it that classic look and feel. What I like most is that the photo is cropped square. You loose a little of your picture but it works to make an awesome photo that truly comes to life.

Here is a sample before and after:

My one complaint is not with the software but with our printing services. I cannot find one photobook tool that supports square photos. Which is unfortunate because the border is lost when the square photo is cropped to fit in a rectangle.
